How I Love Accra handles account information, location, messages, notifications and your privacy choices.

01

Who we are

This policy explains how the I Love Accra team handles information when you explore Accra, use an account or take part in our community. Contact us at albert@siastes.com for privacy questions and requests.

02

Information you provide

An account may include your email, sign-in provider identifier, display name and username. We process the reviews, Been there activity, follows, saved items, plans, attendance choices, messages, group membership and reports you submit. Do not include information you do not want to share in public activity or messages.

03

What other people can see

Your public profile and activity displayed there, including your name, username, follow counts, reviews and Been there entries, can be seen by other people. Saves and personal plans are not public. Messages are shared with the participants in the conversation. A safety report shares the selected reported content and your explanation with authorized moderators; it does not give moderators unrestricted access to your chat history.

04

Location, devices and feature activity

When you allow location access, we use foreground location for nearby places and map features. You can deny or revoke access in your device settings. Maps and related requests are processed by the providers needed to deliver those features. Push delivery uses a device registration token and your notification settings. Feature interactions, such as places viewed or saved, may be recorded to support recommendations. Diagnostic error messages and stack traces stay on your device. If you enable Share app diagnostics in Settings, we collect only the error category and app feature involved to find reliability problems. Sharing is off by default; you can turn it off at any time. These category reports are retained for up to 14 days and removed when your account is deleted. Event creators can see aggregate RSVP counts, not individual attendance records.

05

Why we use information

We use information to sign you in, show your content, provide discovery and social features, deliver notifications you permit, respond to support and safety reports, prevent abuse and maintain the service. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use private messages to target advertising.

06

Service providers and links

Supabase hosts account and app data. Google and Apple process the sign-in method you choose. Firebase delivers push notifications; it is not our account authentication service. Mapbox provides maps. These providers may process information outside your country under their own terms and safeguards. External ticketing, booking and source links are separate services with their own privacy policies. We do not request your social-account password ourselves.

07

Retention and deletion

We keep active account information and content as needed to provide the service. Use Settings → Delete account to remove your active account and associated profile, saves, plans and other account-linked records. Group ownership is transferred when other members remain. Provider logs and backups may remain until their retention cycles expire; limited records may be retained where required for security, disputes or law. Content copied or shared outside the service cannot be recalled from other people’s devices.

08

Your choices and requests

You can browse discovery without an account, change notification and location permissions, edit or delete supported content, block people and delete your account. For access, correction, deletion or a privacy concern, email albert@siastes.com. We may ask for information needed to verify that a request concerns your own account.

09

Children and changes

I Love Accra is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13 or below the minimum age required where you live. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. We will update this policy when our practices change and identify the effective date. New uses that require permission will ask for it before they begin.

Let’s keep the conversation open.
